Last year a colleague of mine who now works @nikonusa called and asked me if I would be interested in trying out one of their cinema cameras and some lenses. As a loyal and long-time Sony owner/operator I was a bit skeptical but definitely intrigued. He sent me their flagship model #nikonZ9, and two S-Line lenses: a 24-70/2.8 and an 85/1.2. I will be implementing all three into my workflow this year and will be writing and reporting on the results here. Thank you to Javier Storch at Nikon for the opportunity!
About the video: We produced the video below using a Z7 to shoot the Z. My good friend Darwin Brandis (IG @brandicular) has developed a cutting-edge product photography system that institutes a video background and an oscillating camera arm. The result is this mesmerizing effect which we enhanced with @quasarscience tubes. Darwin’s invention is poised to revolutionize the product photography world.
